I took the GMAT today for the first time, and my nerves got the best of me. I felt great in the days leading up to the exam. I had my diet, exercise, meditation, everything down to a schedule and felt fully prepared. Anyways, right before the exam my nerves shot up. I got there plenty early, and thought I'd still be fine for the test. However, once the first question hit, I was a deer in the headlights. I took 2.5 minutes on the first question trying to talk myself through what should have been easy, but the gears were just not grinding. I made a guess and brushed it off, then same thing happened on the 2nd question, and so on. I ended up not being 100% certain about a single answer because of my nerves and could feel I was doing awful.
I saw the last question and it was clearly a 300-500 level question which made me lose hope. I almost left during the first break. I thought I'd just take my time and do my best on the rest of it, treat it like practice and work out the nerves. By the time verbal came around I was already mentally checked out. I couldn't get myself to focus properly and was rushing the questions, not caring enough to give it my all whether I tried to focus or not.
I ended up with a 550 (36Q/30V) which is my lowest yet. I've been testing in the 660-680 range (47-48Q/35-37V) mimicking the test as close as possible (studying for ~4 months very hard). At this point I have done all 2017 & 2018 OG problems, almost all
Magoosh problems (only a few easy/medium ones left), and many problems from this forum. I have flashcards of problems I struggle with that I've mastered. My question is, where do I get more problems? Most of the OG problems I've seen multiple times so I already know the answer to, yet if the question is tweaked I have a harder time.
I rescheduled my 2nd attempt for 2 1/2 weeks away, and I was thinking about also scheduling a 3rd sometime after that (may help take some pressure off knowing I have another one in the bank if needed?).
Anyways, any help or advice is appreciated. Would love to talk to someone who could help conquer this stuff!
