Idk if i'm trying to find excuse for the reason why i did so bad today (i was scoring consitently at the 630-650 range (ive taken 6 test and i scored at that range everytime, gmatprep and manhattan) and i got a 540) but i was just wondering if maybe the Test Center's alg. could be f'd up or something.

I mean has anyone's unofficial score been diff. from there official score

As I understand it, the only reason the official score changes from the unofficial score is if the actual scale of the exam moves. For example, 750 used to be 99th percentile, but now it's only 98th percentile. If you got 750 on your unofficial result, the percentile would be adjusted to the current score at the time your official score is processed.

I haven't heard of actual changes in score between official and unofficial. I actually always believed that it was a way for them to do a security check before issuing an official score - to make sure everything was OK at the test center, your biometrics matched, etc. I'm just speculating though.

Whatever the computer scored your test at the center thats what your score will be...at least I have never read anywhere about a difference like that. If you were practice testing at a much higher range then chances are you can bump your score up fairly easily with some studying and test taking strategies.

This happened to me today too. My GMATPrep scores were 700 and 720, but I only scored 660 today. I felt like I was getting more difficult questions, especially quantitative, than the GMATPrep questions.
