Hello all...

I'm scheduled to take the GMAT in one week, but here are some details:

1) I've been out of town the past 2 weeks and haven't been able to study.
2) I'm getting sick
3) I'm feeling stressed because of 1 + 2.

Tonight I have to decide if I will delay my test until November 6th.

Any thoughts or advice?

It's too late to get your money back. You could always go take the test, and if you think you did bad just cancel your scores.

Blunt as I am I say: Suck it up and take it.

1) If you suck, you are going to have to retake - which is what you are currently planning anyway, so might as well take it and get the 'real feel' for it
2a) Most business schools only take the highest score into consideration, so this shouldnt hurt
2b) If you suck, retake it and have a nice improvement, turn it into your failure essay and see how you succeeded in the end
3) If you delay until Nov6 - blow that test and then have to retake it, you may end up missing the R2 deadline

Thanks for the responses... I actually saw another test date open up for October 16th... I guess I timed my panic perfectly.

So, I rescheduled for two weeks...hopefully this will allow me to get my feet back under me. The extra $50 is worth the piece of mind that I'll be able to go into the test with confidence.

Despite my actions to the contrary, I really appreciate your responses. If this October 16th deadline wouldn't have appeared, then I think that I would have just taken the test this week. November 6th is a long time away.
