I am scheduled to take the GMAT again in about 10 days. I scored a 550 on the actual test when I was getting around 600 on
MGMAT and above 620 on GMAT prep. I had some trouble concentrating during the quant section and a lot of trouble during the verbal section. The guy next to me was typing during the entire time I was taking the verbal and I let it get the better of me. I put the earplugs in while the test was going, and it did not help that much. Any advice for how to overcome being distracted and test day jitters? The obvious ones are being prepared, good nights sleep, no studying the day/night before, sex, chocolate, Gatorade, bananas, breathing, splashing water on your face, and many others.
How can I simulate the test day expereince? I was thinking about downloading sound slips of people typing and having it play in the background while I am taking practice CAT's. I guess I could also take the CAT's with earplugs in to get used to it.
Having test day jitters/nerves can have a very bad affect on test performance, as I found out last month. Any advice at all on how to overcome such distractions and nerves would help greatly. Thanks in advance.
Also any advice on timing strategies? I have been using 50-30-10 and 55-35-15
