I have been a lurker here for the last six months and the advice that I have taken from all of you has been extremely valuable to me.
Test day has arrived! This will be my second attempt at the GMAT; my first attempt resulted in a dismal 410, but that was six months ago and I hadn't been taking my preparation very seriously at the time. Today is different. I have spent the last two weeks in total immersion (I even took vacation days from work so that I could go at it for 8 - 10 hours per day). Although I am very nervous and edgy, I am confident that I am about 150% better prepared than I was last time. Verbal has always been easy for me (my score from my first test was in the 70th percentile). It's math that I had the problem with. I never took a math course as an undergrad, so even the most basic algebra seemed new to me. Thanks to the members of this board, a prep course, and three different prep books, I know I am ready.
The ironic thing is that I have been in school for one year. I was accepted provisionally, on the condition that I get an "average score" on the GMAT. It's time to go kick some booty.
