"Test Taken By" date in application deadlines

Some schools mention a "Test Taken By" date along with their rounds deadline date. Majority of the schools don't mention this date.
If it is not explicitly mentioned, it safe to assume that the "Test Taken By" date will be same as the round deadline date ?

How long does it usually take for the GMAT score to reach your specified schools?

Yes, for most schools but there is no guarantee, so would check with all of your target schools so there is no regret
The score is electronic, so the only delay is in the AWA score (which can take anywhere from 3 to 14 days to show up).

Basically you would report the score yourself on the application and then the school verifies it a few weeks later (which assumes all scores reach them by then).

So for schools that don't mention any dates , should I contact their respective admission offices to get a confirmed answer?

I think you should anyway take the test before the deadline, since you need to report your unofficial score on the application. Then, the official score will be sent to the school by the testing agency after the deadline, which is fine.

Hi all,

What about TOEFL score? We don't see it right after taken the test. What happens if it is not available before the deadline?

I will be taking the GMAT before the round deadlines but I was wondering about the number of days between when you took the GMAT and the round deadline. I remember one school(I forgot which one) particularly mentioning "Test Taken By" date around 12-15 days before the round deadline.
