A mail to GMAC, highlighting the issues faced at the center, will assist. A retake may be offered by GMAC.

All the Best.

Hi. Sorry about the test experience. This is annoying.

We have had a few situations like these on the forum and I think the scores were not canceled at the end. Though things can change. Hopefully you can get a free retake.

I think contacting the school proactively is a fabulous idea. It shows maturity and being proactive and building a contingency plan.

You can also retake the test and send an updated score report. I have seen MBA programs accept updated scores submitted after the deadline - the pandemic has basically broken all the rules 😂

Sorry again.

Hi all,

I completed my GMAT Exam yesterday at a test center. Unfortunately, during the Quant Section, there were several technical issues. My computer got disconnected, and a pop-up error message appeared. The proctor had to restart the app, and these issues happened several times. After the restart, I keep continued the exam. In the end, I accepted the score because the Verbal & IR sections were very satisfactory. I asked the proctor, and she explained that the problem came from the server or the app because she could prove the internet connection was stable throughout the test. She reported the case, gave a case ID, and encouraged me to raise this issue with customer care. I did and just emailed them recently and stated that I still want to accept the score.

I still want to use this unofficial report for a school application, as the submission deadline is just in a few days. It wouldn't be feasible for me to retake the test soon. Do you have similar experiences or know whether my score would remain valid? Thanks.

Hey rio.morgan , how long did it take for the official score to be available on your mba[dot]com profile? I too had a disconnection on my test day ( Oct 22nd ), and, as of today ( Oct 30 ) I am yet to receive an official score in my profile.
