Thanks bb, gurpreetsingh,

Nothing special going on for me. Dropped plans for MBA (for now), bad GMAT score [no excuses :)] + I want to work in France and there are not many opportunities at the managerial level. It is very expensive for me (For now) and I would have to take brake from work. Thus, I am working at my old position as Software Consultant. I have overall, 7+ years of Full Time experience in IT. However, I have less than one year of managerial experience, handling a developer's team from India and China.
I would give a shot at executive MBA with some more experience and better GMAT score. Meanwhile I will keep looking at the GMATClub to be in touch.

Cheers,
Spoilt.

Thank you for stopping by and coming back!

Good luck! Sounds like you are in a good spot and as a few folks have found that the ultimate goal is the job (not the MBA). I actually had a classmate who has left in the middle of the first semester when he got a great job offer. You could say that he has been shortsighted but if a good job is the end goal, why take a 2 year break to get there if you are already offered/extended that offer.... EMBA of FEMBA is always an option too!

Best Wishes,
BB.

So we both are in same line but I m 2 years younger than you in experience. I have not been so lucky to have managerial exp officially but I m mentoring and handling junior and mid level programmers here in Malaysia.
And because of so many xyz factors I too think Emba is a probable option if I donot get through this year.

So in which technology do you work?

Thanks Gurpreet,
Yes you are absolutely correct EMBA is also an option. For me major problem is experience at managerial level and here in France, there is not much hierarchy in IT. Either you are Developer or directly Project Manager.
I am working in BI and I use mostly - DataStage Px, Cognos and BO.

I wish you all the best for your future and hope you get an admission to good college.

Cheers

Thanks a lot BB for sharing this experience. I hope I would keep watching GMATClub from time to time and go for HEC or INSEAD EMBA here in France (hope our economy improves by then:) ).

Cheers!!
