I got 680 in early January from little study and missing the last click for verbal (which probably cost me ten or so).
Given the schools I want this is below median. Given that I am a relatively interesting background, it is not a disaster. However, for reasons of seeing a GPA proxy on my degree (it really isn't something we use here - my degree was overall an A, which is given to about 10% of students), and general wanting to busy myself while waiting to hear from schools... I am toying with going back to the fort knox exam centre with some big prep on the verbal (I got 48Q, so am more than comfortable on that part)
Reasons against this would be that there is little point for this years apps in resitting. But... I am sorely tempted. What does anyone think?

Deafening silence.
Well, I am sure all you readers will be interested to know that I reckon I will resit in about April or May. I have another exam before then, and all my apps for 2007 are in now, so there is little I can do to benefit short term.
Though a higher GMAT has its uses, if not only to prove that I know I can get something strong.

If you hadn't studied much, then you may well be able to raise your score to your comfort zone. Can you afford the time?
