1) for the dogs' weights: everything to the right of 43 pounds (dogs that "weigh more than 43 pounds")
2) for the kcal/sec burned:
--everything above and not including 42 kcal/sec (the dogs that "burn . . . more than 42 kcal/sec")
--everything below and including 48 kcal/sec (dogs that "burn no more than 48 kcal/sec")
