Somethig wrong with transcription or the original. Does Choice A truly reflect the underlined part of the text, especially the word 'world-wide'.? If yes, the word world-wide should be added after dominated.

GMAT Club Ultimate Grammar contains some bugs, I checked personally. This might be the case here.

[quote="lucbesson"]23. The Australians, who had admittedly dominated worldwide International Surfing Association competition since 1996, recognize surfing as a part of their national identity.
a) who had admittedly dominated
b) which have overwhelmingly been dominated
c) having been dominating overwhelmingly
d) who have easily dominated
e) which have domination superiority of the

HI
who had admittedly dominated worldwide[/u] International Surfing Association competition since 1996==>Is a non essential noun modifier ... ans as it is touching australians....after comma who is required.....instead of "which"
therefore B,E Is wrong

now C in THIS "having been dominating overwhelmingly"====> it is not clear what is being modified...australians or International Surfing Association.

NOW in A .....had is past perfect ...which is not required at alll....so finally correct answer is D.

hope it helps.
