a) Wrong because Past Perfect tense is used.
b) Wrong because it changes active to passive voice, thus making the sentence absurd.
c) Wrong because WTF?
d) Correct becuase "who" correctly refers to people and Present Perfect tense is correctly used with "since".
e) Wrong because "which" cannot modify people, and "domination superiority" changes the meaning of the sentence.
There is one more error in this sentence:
"...recognize surfing as a part of their national identity."
The correct idiom is "as part of". I hear this mistake all around. But you, GMAT Club! The idea!

which cannot be the modifier for "The Australians" so B and E are eliminated.
A has wrong verb form.
C misplaced "overwhelmingly". And it does not have a subject " having been dominating overwhelmingly...."
That leaves us with D.
but whats with changing the adverb? admittedly, easily, overwhelmingly.....
What is the source of the question though?
