How do you tackle these kind of questions?

Sounds similar to a "main point/main idea" type of question, but perhaps only limited to one section of the passage.

Better yet, maybe its asking for the author's tone?

One could only tell with the answer choices, do you have the question available?

I had this question in one of the passages. If if you want i can put that passage here. But my question here is how to tackle this kind of questions?
