I think your statement is Incorrect

ex :

set 1 -> 0,0,0,0,0,10,10,10,10,10 -> average 5
set 2 -> 4,4,4,4,4,4,4,4,4,4 -> average 4
deviation of set 2 is lower than in set 1

set 1 -> 5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5 -> average 5
set 2 -> 0,0,0,0,4,9,9,9,9,9 -> average 4
deviation of set 2 is higher than in set 1

Well correct me if I am wrong is 0 a number (I mean as per GMAT). I know it is a whole number. But typically by numbers they mean non zero numbers. Even then the Answer 'd be E

Folks I have seen number of these ques in this forum, invariably with the same asn of "E".

Now is it safe to say that in questions like these, where you have 2 sets, some numbers (not all), avg of both and ranges, that the ans will be invariably "E", because unless we know all numbers of a set we can't determine the SD relationships ? Any thoughts.
