Save time by using the weighted average formula (slightly derived ratio form of weighted average)
Let x= the number of the rest of workers in the workshop
w1/w2 = (A2 - A)/(A - A1)
w1=x ,w2= 7 technicians ,A2= avg. salary 12000,A1= avg. salary 6000,A= overall avg.=8000
x/7=(12000-8000)/(8000-6000)
x/7=(4000)/(2000) —> x/7=2
x=14
Total number of people in workshops =14+7 =21
Answer is A
