The given sentence intends to say the effect and/or the result of an event. The best way to show the this using -ing modifier that modifies the subject-verb combination of previous clause.
Hence , A,C & E are out.
Now B is out as resulting notll deposition.
Option D - Correct - flawless sentence with proper intended meaning.
