There is no other option satisfying the constraint mention in the question other than 40&46.
I don't get it why it's wrong.

Perhaps Princeton Review is wrong, I have gone through all of their online tests, and this isn't the first mistake they seemed to have made.

I have attempted this question, We can only approximate the answer among the given options, 40 and 46 are approximate answers. The more accurate answer should be 39.5 for DataMax 4000 and 46.5 for DataMax 200. This might be an error from Princeton's side. I will edit the answer options accordingly.

Let the machine transfer rate for Datamax4000=x
And for Datamax200=.85x(given in the question)

Together both can do in 18 minutes

So 1/x +1/.85x =1/18
1/x(2.17)=1/18
x=39.06
And for Datamax200=33.201
So for Datamax4000=1548/39.06=39.63
And for Datamax200=1548/33.2=46.6

So per the answers we can roughly say it is 46.5 for Datamax200 and 39.5 for Datamax4000

Bunuel, i have doubt in this question. I was able to mark the correct answer however my doubt is regarding a discrepancy in the calculation of this question.
Since DataMax 200 is 15% faster than DataMax 4000 i can either take DM 4000 to be 'x' and DM 200 to be '1.15x' or i can take DM 200 to be 'x' and DM 4000 to be '0.85x' and they should both result in the same answer, however, if i use the former i get the answers 40 & 46 Mb/min and if i take the latter i get the answers 39.5 and 46.5 Mb/min.

(Btw i devided the 1548 by 18mins to get 86 as combined efficiency and then proceeded to do what i did above.)
Can you please explain where exactly am i going wrong?

There is an error in the question options. The correct answer is 40 and 46 but 39.5 and 46.5 will give you the correct answer. Admin, can you please change this?­

­If a number A is 15% greater than another number B, this does not mean that B is 15% less than A. The percentage changes work differently when going in reverse.­
15% = 3/20 increase from A to B
To get B back to A, you would need a 3/23 decrease, and not 3/20 or 15% in our case
