A. There were 3 major candidates running in the Governor’s race, but other races featured only Democratic and Republican candidates. With the exception of Washington, the Dem in the Governor's race got a lower share of the vote than Dems in the other races; in many cases by a significant margin. If there are multiple candidates splitting the vote, this makes sense. EXPLAINS.
B. The Democratic candidate for President was a business executive. The Presidential candidate received similar vote shares to the Congressional candidate, so there isn't any big disparity this would explain. DOES NOT EXPLAIN.
C. There was no significant competition for the democratic mayoral candidate in Washington. The Dem major candidate in Washington only received 50%, which a lower share than all the other Dem candidate, which contradicts the statement. If there was no competition, we would expect the vote share to be much higher. DOES NOT EXPLAIN.

1)Yes it is possible since the democrats received 52% in Washington ,but apart from it the Democrats in other Governor races got lower share ,so in multiple parties this case is possible.
2)No,we can't say that the Democratic candidate was a business executive, because we just know the vote shares
3)No, because in Washington the mayoral candidate got 50% so there might be other candidate who got 49% so still there might have been a good competition or the votes might have been splitted among multiple participants so this case is not very much clear

what does 1st statement even mean? And whats the pre required knowledge for this if someone doesnt know party system of US?
