Statement 1.
Even if Bob travelled at the speed of 36mph (the max. as per the statement) for the complete journey, the time he would take to cover 480 miles will be more than 13 hours ( as Time taken = 480/36 => 40/3 > 13)
Therefore, we know that time taken for the entire journey was not less than 13 hours => Sufficient
Statement 2.
Avg. Speed = Total Distance / Total Time => 30 = 480 / Total Time
Total Time = 480/30 = 16 hours
Therefore, we know that time taken for the entire journey was not less than 13 hours => Sufficient
