There have been relatively few invites sent out for Haas, Anderson, and Stanford after the New Years, even though some of those schools didn't seem to have sent out many invites before the New Years either.

Am I mistaken or have there been very, very few interview invites for R1 applicants across the board?

Compared to last year? Or compared to what you were expecting?
I ask this because if you haven't completely compared the R1 interview rate with last year's, then perhaps it's just a matter of very few people being on forums / boards compared to the entire applicant pool?

Copy that. Cheers.

Actually I was thinking both. It very well may be the small sample that I'm looking at.

Wharton/Chicago and Kellogg are done with their decisions/interviews well before the new year. Its extremely difficult to get an invite at schools such as HBS, Stanford and MIT and hence you dont find many people reporting invites. Columbia has not yet started processing the RD apps. Schools such as Mich and Duke release their decisions in mid-Jan, so you should have completed your interview (in most cases before the holidays). I have no idea about the rest :)
