Let x be English employees and y be Japanese employees.
x=7/13 * 520 and y= 4/13 * 520
So x-y = (7-4)/13 * 520 =(3*520)/13 = 3*40 = 120.
Hence A.

7x + 2x + 4x = 520
=> x = 40.
Difference b/w Eng and Japan = 3x = 3*40 = 120

We can create the equation:

7x + 2x + 4x = 520

13x = 520

x = 40

So there are 7 * 40 - 4 * 40 = 280 - 160 = 120 more residents of England than of Japan at the meeting.
