Thanks- very much Indian. Have posted a part of my profile earlier on this thread. Anyway, interesting thing in this case is that I think I have a fairly strong profile apart from the fact that I am perilously close to the age of 40.Lets see what happens....

Kellogg's PHD FAQ says "Interviews are not part of the application process, and we do not arrange for interviews" - Does anyone know if they have change the policy?

Did you receive the invitation? What's your research interest?

I applied Kellogg program (research interest is in the area of Operations Management or what they call Managerial Economics and Strategy). I didn't hear anything from them so far :cry:

I thought they don't do interview.

I want to know where they are with the admission process. Can I call the schools I applied and ask them whether they have started sending out offer letters, in general ? I don't want them to give me the individual details of my case, but are schools receptive to giving out some status info on where they stand on sending out offer emails/letters?

I just wanted to add that I now stay in Fiji for some project hence finding it extremely difficult to find the right time to talk..and itz darn expensive too.. so..am thinking of asking someone else to check on my behalf on at least the time line, not my exact status

i read on gradcafe tht Duke has sent rejects to Fin PhD applicants any one received acceptance from Duke....Congrats to guys who got into MIT...great admit

i also applied to USC but Finance program. Although the finance and biz eco deptt has confirmed the receipt of application. My credit card has not been charged the application fee till now. Is it the same with you

Double congrats. I also interviewed that day. That's great that they are taking at least 2 of us. It's a fantastic program. I'm thinking of accepting, but I'm waiting for a few other schools to see if I'll be lucky enough to have options. We really should correspond offline. What do you think? Also, have you been over to the businessweek forum. There is a great thread on Phds.

Very cool. If I remember correctly, there were only two of us interviewing that day.

I've had chats with Penn State and the U of Rochester, but MIT is at the top of my list. It's a better match for my interests.

I'll have to check out the Business Week forums.
