A. 1:30
B. 3:30
C. 5:10
D. 8:50
E. 11:30

After equating both the equations, we get the = 3.5 hours.

3.5 hours after 12 noon is 3.30 pm.

Thus, B must be the answer.

Since, the two trains are equidistant from Centerville :
-10t + 115 = -20t + 150
20t - 10t = 150 - 115
10t = 35
t=3.5

Therefore,
The time at which the trains will be equidistant = 12 + 3.5 = 3.30

Hence, B.

Agreed.....
Equating both as the distance should be equal in both cases will give us answer as B.
3.5 hours from 12.00pm is 3.30..
