When we draw an additional line \(k\) on the figure as follows,

Since \(∠BCD = 90°\), we have \(∠x + 8∠x = 90°\) and \(∠x = 10°.\)
Since \(∠x + ∠y = 45°\), we have \(∠y = 35°\). Thus \(∠y - ∠x = 25°.\)
Therefore, B is the answer.
