The following excerpt is the content of a newspaper advertisement by a school. It features the school's requirement of an ideal teacher and lists the school's expectations from candidates.
The ideal teacher that we seek for our school must uphold academic integrity and impart the virtue of knowledge. The teacher must train our students to understand, contribute to, and succeed in a rapidly changing society, thus preparing them for holistic personal development. Our school's pride lies in our dedication and ability to give our students personal attention, thereby armouring them to battle their daily personal and emotional challenges. The ideal teacher must, therefore, be able to connect with students, be patient with them, and steer them through their numerous dilemmas, especially in their adolescent years. The ideal teacher, through fairness and integrity of character, must win the hearts of students, felow faculty members, and all the non-teaching staff members of the school.

We need to infer the characteristics sought by the school in the ideal teacher. Let’s evaluate all of
the given options to see if they conform to the expectations of the school.
(A) While this can be a desirable characteristic in the ideal teacher, the passage does not refer to it
directly. This cannot be the answer to either of the columns.
(B) The passage indicates that the ideal teacher must “... prepare them for holistic personal
development”. So, valuing only academic development is a requirement that must NOT be fulfilled.
This is the answer to the second column.
Hence, for the Requirement that must NOT be fulfilled column, B is the correct answer
choice.
(C) The passage suggests no such expectation from the ideal teacher.
(D) Since it is expected that the ideal teacher “... must win the hearts of students, fellow faculty
members, and all the non-teaching staff members”, pleasant disposition is a requirement that must
be fulfilled. This is the answer to the first column.
