Hi,
Could you please explain the answer of que 1 & 7. I got all correct except for these 2.

Que 1>The passage deals primarily with the
(A) content of early textbooks on American history and government
(B) role of education in late eighteenth-and early to mid-nineteenth-century America

I believe the authors started to talk about Textbooks as a mode of achieving the goals(civic education). Hence on basis of this I was able to narrow down between A and B, and eliminated A. Could you please tel me why B has been eliminated here?

Que 7>The author implies that an early American Puritan would likely insist that
(A) moral and religious values are the foundation of civic virtue
(B) textbooks should instruct students in political issues of vital concern to the community

Was very confused between A and B. couldn't find any way for elimination for both, but appeared B to be more correct. Any explanation How was B eliminated here??

difficult to explain but the passage does not discuss about the 'effects'/'results' of education on the society. It does not say "due to such and such education people behaved this way or that way". It only discusses about the content of textbooks.

I would choose B for 1 too, because it tells more about the role of the education than about the content of the textbooks.
