The gmat has many roots and power problems, especially in the powerprep software. I can't see the solutions to my errors.... but found few problems by googling. Can anyone help? Gmat tday and I can't seem to understand these varities of problems. Thanks!

2. 9^7 + 9^7 + 9^7 = 27^n , what does n equal?
a) 5

3. 2^18 + 5^12 =
4. (5^27 - 5^18) / (5^22 - 5^7) =

I think there is a mistake in question 1,
I guess the answer is 76^6(77-1)
so 76^6(76)
for 2
3* 9^7 = 27^n
3* (3^2)^7 = (3^3)^n
3^15 = 3^3n
n= 5
for 3.
I don't know what kind of solution are you looking for
GCD of 18 and 12 is 6 so 2^18 + 5^12 = 8^6 + 25^6
for 4.
4. (5^27 - 5^18) / (5^22 - 5^7) =
(5^11 * ( 5^9 - 1)) / (5^15 - 1)

Taking out common factor 77^6 = 77^6(77-1) = 77^6(76) (Not among you answer choices but I can't think of any other way to do this)
