Total score = 5*70 + 20*80 + 10*90 + 15*100
= 4350

Total number of students = 5+20+10+15 =50

Average = 4350/50 = 87

I was able to answer the question by the conventional way as explained by Sasindran above and I also understand that since it is sub 600 level it got to have this type of calculation. I am just wondering if there are some other ways too to solve the question.

Total score = 5*70 + 20*80 + 10*90 + 15*100= 4350

Average= $$\frac{4350}{50}$$= 87
