(1) M = 25
(2) N = 24

median is the middle value

M= ....... , 400
N= 475, ..........

if M = 25

we know nothing about N and similiary if N = 24

if we know m and n by combining statements we can find the median

(C) imo
400 i think

When the sets M and N are merged, 25th value (out of 49) becomes the Median value.

subsequently, highest of set M(25th value) is the Median, 400.

As we need to merge these sets, we seek M and N, So the Answer is C.

Without the values of M and N we cannot determine what would be median

After getting values of M and N we can determine what would be median as only then we are able to get total number of term and then subsequently median.

Median is middle terms if odd terms are.there
For even it would be average of 2 middle terms
