As I understand in the passage it is said that in Afganistan it isolates larger area. But in question we are asked to find answer which is about Hindu Kush in Pakistan. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Based only upon the information in the passage, which of the following distinguishes the Hindu Kush in Pakistan from the Hindu Kush in Afghanistan?

The Hindu Kush isolates in both countries certain areas from the rest.

However, in Afghanistan, the result is more evident and marked than in Pakistan

Could you please provide OE for 2nd question?

Official Explanation

2. Based only upon the information in the passage, which of the following distinguishes the Hindu Kush in Pakistan from the Hindu Kush in Afghanistan?

Difficulty Level: 650

Explanation

The last sentence of paragraph 1 explicitly states this effect.

Running northeast to southwest from the Karambar Pass in northern Pakistan to close to the Iranian border of Afghanistan, the mountains have historically created significant obstacles to trade, transportation, and communication, while certain passes, such as the KhyberPass and Bolan Pass, have formed traditional invasion routes between Central Asia and India.

The correct answer is (E).

Hey, Can someone explain how the answer to Q1 is option (B)? The passage does not relate it to the start of Hindu Kush.
