The phrase "as one of North America's literary giants" suggests glorification, and the focus on his peripheral activities further suggests "glorification" as the best word to fill the blank. For when one is glorified, even his peripheral activities become important. Hence the word from the choice list is lionization. When somebody is lionized and receives great importance there is a focus on his peripheral activities as well. Marginalization is wrong because you don't marginalize somebody as a literary giant. Also, the marginalization of Vladimir Nabokov cannot result in his peripheral activities being brought under the spotlight. Stigmatization could, but you don't stigmatize somebody as a literary giant because stigmatization is the action of describing or regarding someone or something as worthy of disgrace or great disapproval.
If Vladimir Nabokov is a literary giant, clearly his activity as an amateur entomologist is a peripheral activity. Therefore it was receiving importance. Thus the word foreground is the best choice, because to foreground means to give it prominence
