A, B and C are incorrect because "information" is singular. So, "indicates" is correct usage here. D is preferred over E because E uses progressive tense when a simple tense will work.
You can immediately eliminate A, B, and C, because "The information" needs to be followed by the singular verb "indicates". E is incorrect because "times are laying ahead" is wrong - that implies that there are times physically laying in front of us. The correct idiom is "times lie ahead".

once I saw an example in which verb used for DATA was plural!

"Data" is a plural noun. The singular form is "datum".
