I think E is completely out bcz of wrong usage of WHO. B is out because we don't use that to refer to humans.
Now focussing on A,C & D. We see that we are dealing with list of things that happened. So, the function is the same all are noun but not in the same format.

So, we are left with C and that is the answer.
