    ➡ Numbers are multiples of their HCF

The least common multiple (LCM) and the highest common factor(HCF) of two positive integers are 924 and 12

LCM = 12*7*11, HCF = 12

Since the HCF is 12 so the numbers have to be multiplies of 12

Possible pairs are

1. 12*1, 12*7*11 or 12, 924
2. 12*7, 12*11 or 84 and 132

So, Answer will be C.
Hope it helps!

remember that question is asking about unordered pairs not ordered pairs therefor it will only 2 pairs ; not 4

The least common multiple and the highest common factor of two positive integers are 924 and 12, respectively.

How many such unordered pairs are possible?

\(LCM(x,y) = 924 = 2^2*3*7*11\)
\(HCF(x,y) = 12 = 2^2*3\)

Unordered pairs (x,y)= {(12,924),(84,132)} : 2 unordered pairs
