Can I solve this as arrange IRLE in 4! ways and then given two C's are not together, imagine there is a gap betwen each of IRLE and hence 5 spaces which 2 Cs will position themselves leading to 5c2 ways

thus
4!*5C2

giving 240 as answer

Why I am not sure is given Cs are identical my impretation is given their position is unique no need to divide it by 2!. Please help
That approach is exactly correct. You don't need to divide by 2 since you're just choosing two slots for the two Cs.
