'Audition to' is idiomatic
So eliminate B C E

From A and D
Band is singular noun so 'its' is the correct pronoun to be used

Hence D

A - 'their' is incorrect as band is singular. OUT.
B - audition that find a replacement? OUT
C - Same as B ; plus 'their' for singular band.
D - correct.
E - Unnecessarily wordy. OUT.

IMO

The Mariachi band is holding an audition to find a replacement for its departing trumpet player.

" to " is used in advice, allow, forbid, persuade, want and find. "that" is used in demand, dictate , suggest, propose etc.

its because Mariachi band is singular!
