The train starts from A to B at 12 noon. Lets name it X

The train X reaches its destination B at 4:30 PM

On its path X will meet all the train that start from B and have an arrival time at station A $$\geq$$ 12 and < 4:30 PM

The number of trains that have an arrival time at A $$\geq$$ 12 and $$\leq$$ 4:30 PM are the following trains

Trains that starts at 8AM, 9AM, 10AM, 11AM => 4 trains

On its path X will also meet all the trains that start from B and have an start time at station B $$\geq$$ 12 and $$\leq$$ 4:30 PM

The number of trains that have a start time at B > 12 and $$\leq$$ 4:30 PM are the following trains

Trains that starts at 12noon, 1PM, 2PM, 3PM, 4PM => 5 trains

In total 9 trains.

Hence option B
