I would appreciate if we all explain why a particular choice is better than the other. By simply saying that it is B or E, does not help anybody learn anything.
I chose B because I don't like the way the following sounds: "for receiving much recent attacks as." Frankly, it just sounds awkward. Naturally, I assume the typo in B does not exist.
I'll pick C. Though I find no flaw with B, but since it's using 'being' I'll pick C which avoids use of 'being'.

I see this advice from time to time about "being", but let me suggest that it is a BAD "rule" to follow. There is precisely nothing at all wrong with the word "being" -- either as noun, verb, gerund, or participle! -- and sometimes it's the only appropriate word to express a thought. Don't let a perfectly proper use of the word "being" trick you into a wrong answer.
Here, for example, where I'd say the correct answer is clearly (B).
I chose B because I don't like the way the following sounds: "for receiving much recent attacks as." Frankly, it just sounds awkward.
Yep, good call, (C) sounds awkward because it is grammatically incorrect and extremely unidiomatic for multiple reasons. (much should be many ... for receiving is quite unidiomatic following "is under revision" ... the use of "as" is wrong without being preceeded by a different verb contruction, ruling out A, C, and E.)
