all other options explain why musicians have decreased significantly.

We don't care the type of musicians; we must care about the variations in the number of musucians. Just that.

IMO 'E'.

E does nothing to resolve the paradox. "increase in the number of commercials that use musicians just starting in the music industry rather than musicians experienced in accompanying commercials" the statement does not help in resolving the discrepancy mentioned in the passage.

why should this be E....?Can one not assume that since new commercials are coming out which takes only people who are starting in the music industry instead of people with accompanying experience, that the people who have accompanying experience would just decrease...?
