The OG has the following equation....

-3y = 2/3x + 2

Question is...I thought you cannot divide across addition/subtraction...Can someone explain why you can simplify like this?

Hi, I believe the concept is that you are not supposed to divide by a variable as you do not know the sign of the variable. However since we are dividing through out by -3. all you have to do is make sure that the inequality sign changes.

Not an expert but if you divide by a negative you must flip the inequality.

inequalities are just like equations- Only thing you need to remember is to REVERSE the inequality in case you multiply or divide by a -ve quantity
