Since the question asks us to find a certain percentage, we can use an easy-to-work-with number (instead of using an algebraic approach)
The owners of a traveling televangelist circuit projected a 30 percent increase in attendance this year over last year.
Let last year's attendance = 100
So, this year's PROJECTED attendance = 100 + (30% of 100) = 130
The actual attendance this year was 15 percent less than last year's attendance.
So, this year's ACTUAL = 100 - (15% of 100) = 85
Approximately, what percent of the projected attendance was the actual attendance?
Answer = 85/130 = 17/26 ≈ 65%
Answer: B
