The perimeter of a rhombus is 100, and its area is 600. What is the length of the longer diagonal of the rhombus?

A square with s=25 would be a rhombus with a perimeter of 100 and an area of 625. That's pretty close to what we are looking for. We have a rhombus that is a slightly-crooked square with s=25.
If we had a square, the diagonal would be \(25\sqrt{2}\), which is around 35. Since we want the longer diagonal, we need something a little longer. A and B are out.
We cannot have a diagonal >=50 with s=25. D and E are out.
Answer choice C.

The answer is C. Rhombus : (1) Sides are equal, (2). Diagonals bisect each other at 90 Degree. (3).The area is 1/2 X D1 X D2 (D1 & D2 are the two diagonals)
