2(l+b) = perimter

2(10/x + 8 x) =18
2 x 18 = 18 x X
X= 2

so l and b are 5 and 4

area = l*b = 20

Perimeter of rectangle= 2(L+B)= 18

= 2($$\frac{8}{x}$$+$$\frac{10}{x}$$)= 18

= 2($$\frac{8+10}{x}$$)= 18

= 2($$\frac{18}{x}$$) =18

x=2

Length= $$\frac{10}{2}$$= 5

Breadth= $$\frac{8}{2}$$= 4

Area= 5*4= 20

$$Answer: C.$$
