I think the question itself is wrong without "that" after "suggests". IMO, Without "that" it means "The presence suggests the microbes"

A. on the outer surface of a space station of environmental bacteria suggest the microbes came from supply materials and

Modification error as shown. Also we need singular "suggests" in place of plural "suggest" because our subject is "the presence".

B. on the outer surface of environmental bacteria on a space station suggest the microbes came from supply materials and

Modification error shown. Also we need singular "suggests" in place of plural "suggest"

C. of environmental bacteria on the outer surface of a space station suggests the microbes came from materials that were being supplied and

"that were being" is incorrect and also not parallel to "from humans"

D. of environmental bacteria on the outer surface of a space station suggest the microbes came from supply materials and

E. of environmental bacteria on the outer surface of a space station suggests the microbes came from supply materials and


Please change the tag to Sub - 600 level as errors are quite obvious.
