\((\frac{1}{2})^3:(\frac{1}{2})^4\) = \(\frac{1^3}{2^3}:\frac{1^4}{2^4}\) = \(\frac{1}{8}:\frac{1}{16}\)

Multiply both sides by 16
\(\frac{16}{8}:\frac{16}{16}\) = \(2:1\)
