(1) The number of the students in school X is 2,000 more than the number of the students in school Y.

In school \(x\) let the ratio of Teachers to students be t : s
In School \(y\) let the ratio of Teachers to students be a : b
We know \(\frac{t}{s} = \frac{a}{b} \)
(1) The number of the students in school X is 2,000 more than the number of the students in school Y.
Since we do not know what is b we cannot find b+2000 and hence the required ratio.
INSUFF.
(2) The ratio of number of teachers to number of students in school Y is \(1:20.\)
\(\frac{t}{s} = \frac{a}{b} = \frac{1}{20}\)
Still we cannot find \(\frac{b}{s}\)
INSUFF.
