B

x/y = 1/2

ie 2x=y

Also (x+2)/(y+1)=2/3

substituting for y we get,

x=4

$$\frac{x}{y}$$ = $$\frac{1}{2}$$ = $$\frac{z}{2z}$$.....From here

x = z & y = 2z

Apply in the second ratio equation

$$\frac{x+2}{y+1}$$ = $$\frac{2}{3}$$

$$\frac{z+2}{2z+1}$$ = $$\frac{2}{3}$$

cross multiplication

3z + 6 = 4z + 2

z = 4 and hence x = z =4
