To those having confusion between choice A and choice B
A. The content of reality television shows is influenced by the general trends in society.
B. The content of reality television shows does not influence the boundaries of acceptable viewing.
In choice A, the term "general trends in society" though appears similar to the content mentioned in argument, however it is not. The term "general trends in society" does not resemble to "mindset of the audience" (mentioned in argument) in context of meaning. Thus, choice A is wrong. Choice B follows the pattern of Y does not lead to X. Hence it is correct.
