There has been a lot of talk about the "state of banking" in this forum, as well as in the b-school life and career forums. Recruiting massacres here, job layoffs there, and on and on and on. For those that are interested, here are a few of the tidbits of data that I have collected through some work projects over the last few months.

Interesting data I wonder how this will ultimately effect consulting.

maybe this is stating the obvious, but i think it will make consulting harder to get into/stay in (decreased demand for consulting services/increased applicant pool).
