Statement 2:
In 2007, the total double-cropped acreage in regions with insignificant soybean double-cropping, marked with *, is 1 + 396 + 779 + 881 ≈ 2,000 thousand acres. Almonds accounted for 75% of 2,000, or 1,500 thousand acres, which is less than 20% of the total estimated double-cropped acreage in the United States in 2007, which is 9,868 thousand acres. Therefore, this statement is False.
Statement 3:

1. Soybeans accounted for more than half of all estimated double-cropped acreage in the United States in 2007. Here we have to look at the total amounts in 2007 and see how much did soybeans account for: \(\frac{5054}{9869} \approx 51.21\% > 50\%\). So, this statement is true.
2. If in 2007 almonds accounted for 75% of all double-cropped acreage in regions with insignificant soybean double-cropping, almonds would represent 20% of the total estimated double-cropped acreage in the United States for that year. The regions with insignificant soybean double-cropping are: Far West, Lake States, Mountain, and Pacific. 75% of their 2007 total double-cropped acreage is equal to \(0.75 * 2057 = 1542.75\). Almonds would then contribute around \(\frac{1542.75}{9869} \approx 15.63\% < 20\%\). So, this statement is false.
