1. We are asked to check whether the statements are true or false.

2. China produces more steel than all other mentioned countries combined. China produces 1200, while the other countries together produce 87 + 13 + 5 + 34 = 139. 1200 > 139, so this statement is true.

3. Canada's aluminum production exceeds its steel and copper production combined. Canada’s aluminum production is 32 and its steel+copper production is 13 + 0.7 = 13.7. 32 > 13.7, so this statement is true.

4. Brazil's total metal output is more than a third of the US's total metal output. Brazil’s total metal output is 39, while one third of the US’s total metal output is 1⁄3 * 126 = 42. 39 < 42, so this statement is false.

For the first question, cannot we argue that we take into consideration all the countries ? (not only the ones in the table), meaning we don't know

For the first question, cannot we argue that we take into consideration all the countries ? (not only the ones in the table), meaning we don't know
Thank you for catching that! Without information about the other countries (which could be taken into consideration), it's impossible to decide. So, I changed the question only for the countries mentioned in the table.
